Our mission extends beyond teaching dance; we are committed to building character and perseverance, instilling positive self-esteem, earning respect, and imparting invaluable life lessons that transcend the realm of dance and empower every child to unlock their full potential.

jazz

An adult jazz dance class is a lively, versatile dance class that builds strength, flexibility, and coordination through dynamic movements like kicks, leaps, and turns, often set to contemporary music and incorporating elements from hip-hop and contemporary dance. Classes typically include a warm-up and stretching, technique-focused across-the-floor exercises, and choreography that encourages individual expression and style.

tap

An adult tap class focuses on teaching adults basic to complex tap steps, rhythm, and musicality through a structured curriculum that includes a warm-up, technique exercises, and choreography. The goal is to build coordination, rhythm, and fitness in a fun, encouraging environment, allowing participants to create music with their feet without needing prior experience.

lyrical

An adult lyrical class blends the grace of ballet, the expressiveness of jazz, and the storytelling of contemporary dance to interpret music and emotions through fluid, graceful movements. These classes focus on fluid motion, storytelling, musicality, and personal interpretation, helping participants develop strength, flexibility, and emotional expression while learning combinations and routines set to poignant, song-lyric-driven music.

pilates

A teen and adult Pilates class typically emphasizes improving overall fitness, body awareness, and well-being through a combination of strength, flexibility, and balance, often with a specific focus on posture and core strength. Benefits include enhanced physical performance for sports, better stress management, and the development of healthy habits.

ballet

A teen/adult ballet class description includes learning fundamental ballet steps, terminology, and techniques through a structured format: a warm-up, barre exercises, center work, and potentially across-the-floor movements. The class focuses on improving posture, coordination, balance, and strength, while also offering a fun and beneficial full-body workout for all fitness levels, from absolute beginners to experienced dancers.

TESTIMONIALS FROM PARENTS & STUDENTS

What our dance family is saying

Mia and Grace have been dancing at LHQ for 5 years. Bryn for 2. One of my favorite memories is watching Mia at her first competition and then watching her and Grace dance together the next year. Also have enjoyed seeing how far they’ve both come this year and I’m looking forward to seeing Bryn take on the challenge of dancing with the older girls at this years recital. While all the teachers are great some favorites of the girls are Mrs. Karen, Mrs.Ericka and Miss Colleen.

Heather Hagen

"I owe it all to LHQ for dancing and making me who I am today! I'll always remember the lessons (both in life and dance) that I learned and keep LHQ in my heart forever!"

Amanda Otero

There really is a never-ending supply of experiences we have had with this studio that I could not sum them all up. We have been a part of the LHQ family for only a short time, but we have been made to feel like we have been here since day 1. We are in awe of all of the instructors as they each help us in our own ways. The parents are nothing short of amazing. As newcomers to the studio and competition team, they wasted no time in pulling us in to make sure we were included and comfortable. It has been so great getting to know everyone and I am looking forward to our girls dancing together over the coming years.
